Informational Webinar: Digital Principles Reports, Remote Learning, and RFP Release

In 2019, the Principles for Digital Development team, in collaboration with Clear Outcomes and TechChange, undertook a global landscape study of the types of trainings that already exist on the topic of digital development, how development practitioners prefer to access training resources, and what role DIAL can play to improve digital literacy in the development community through the lens of the Digital Principles.

Following desk research and informant interviews, DIAL convened global stakeholders at ideation workshops to test assumptions around training content and delivery methods. At the conclusion of these activities, it was determined that a demand does exist among digital practitioners for trainings that will help them to better understand and use the Digital Principles and that the community felt strongly that DIAL was best positioned to produce this program.

Learning from and building on the findings of these reports, the Digital Principles team released a Request for Proposals in October 2020 for an Instructional Design Vendor to design and develop new curricula to fill the gaps identified by stakeholders.

The Digital Principles Academy already hosts several self-paced modules, introductory courses, and training-of-trainer opportunities. To that end, this session will also be an opportunity for our network and stakeholders to understand current offerings and choose the best fit for their organization and teams.

We invite you to join us with representatives from Clear Outcomes and TechChange to discuss:

  • Key findings from the Digital Principles Training Landscape and Needs Assessment Report
  • A presentation of all training/workshops currently available on the Digital Principles Academy
  • A look ahead to future of Digital Principles curricula through an overview and Q&A of our newly released RFP

This conversation will be hosted by Claudine Lim, Senior Associate for the Digital Principles, and will feature guest speakers:

Barbara Willett, Principle, Clear Outcomes

TBD, Representative from TechChange
